Hayleigh McBay, a 17-year-old from Scotland, decided to play a slightly cruel April Fools' Day prank on her boyfriend, David.
She messaged him on WhatsApp that she had decided to break up with him...but it didn't quite go according to plan:
Her tweet went viral, getting over 9,000 retweets by Wednesday afternoon and being picked up all over the web, even though the teen followed up that luckily her boyfriend was just joking too.
